I feel like we get a little caught up and really excited about the objects and end up talking about content at the end of your crit, so I'm going to work backwards. 

The big question that came up was what constitutes the value of knowledge/ the value of the image and how are negotiating this. 

Use that fighting energy and make. 

Some key words/ phrases that popped up are:

rescuing pictures/ making them something more then they were/ different (more in tune with the way you remember seeing? or the way you want to remember? or the opposite?)

communication (tin can phones)/ how things are passed down form person to person

displacing things in time

finding answers from before you were around (this implies that there are questions, what are they?) 

About the objects:

maybe think about sewing the balsa. 

put in slots so the viewer can change the relationships

resolve the back

think about putting a finish on the wood - stain/ contact paper/ wall paper/ collecting old wood to use (kitchen stuff would be so cool!)
